New product ‘ideal for classic cars’

Antique auto owners keen to use plasma sprayed thermal barriers on their motors may be impressed by a new product from Zircotec.

The company claimed Primary is ideal for turbo and exhaust systems because it can withstand temperatures of up to 1,400 degrees C.

It stated the firm expects the item to prove popular with motorists who own vintage vehicles.

Primary is currently available in black, but Zircotec revealed it plans to extend the range in the near future.

Sales director Peter Whyman commented: "Customers wanting better performance and durability than a ceramic paint or exhaust wrap, but who are concerned about cost, now have a quality solution."

He added the product would provide a long-lasting, professional finish.

The company has offered customers a one-year warranty in respect of road applications.

Meanwhile, organisers of MotorMart claimed fans of the kind of vehicles that require classic car insurance turned out in force at this year’s event.
